Boom Shaka Lacka!
Another great session of
5t's & 6t's RnB/Soul, 6t's Ska/Rock Steady/Reggae

Our Thursday date was moved to a premium Saturday due to Management (double-) bookings. And we certainly gained out of it: the night was rammed by 10pm. A great atmosphere.
Thanks to all for making it a great evening.
We will make sure all speakers are working correctly (ie. loudly) for the next one - we are thinking of getting a nice wall of speakers Jamaican stylee for our next date!
The mix tape is reflecting our playlist that night.

Boom Shaka Lacka! Thursday 27/08/2009 - Pre-Carnival Session!

Boom Shaka Lacka!
a pre-Carnival session of
5t's & 6t's RnB/Soul, 6t's Ska/Rock Steady/Reggae

DJ's on the night:

Giordano (Tune Up!)
Giulio (The Right Track)
French Fred (The Reggae Shack)

It had been a while since I'd organized a likkle evening of glorious music, so I thought this would be quite cool, on the eve of a busy Bank Holiday weekend.

Giulio (The Right Track), and Giordano (Tune Up) joined me for a perfect cocktail of 6t's Black music, playing a wide choice of 6t's Ska, RockSteady, early Reggae, late 5t's and 6t's R'n'B and Soul...

We played on the groundfloor of the pub for the launch night due to a double-booking.

The first night was a great success with many in attendance and we secured a monthly date at this fantastic venue - one of the coolest basements in Soho!
